Wolves midfielder David Edwards has agreed a new long-term deal with the Molineux club.
The 24-year-old Wales international had two years remaining on his previous contract but was delighted to put pen-to-paper on a new three-year agreement, with an option for a further 12 months.
Edwards told the club’s official website: “Wolves are a good club for keeping the squad together and offering deals to players working as hard as they can.
“We’ve been in talks for quite a while and it’s a great confidence booster to feel wanted. Hopefully I can repay that.”
And boss Mick McCarthy added: “He came to us from Luton (in January 2008) as a young player, and has got better and better.
“He made a major contribution as the team won the Championship title and then showed he could play in the Premier League last season.
“I’m delighted he’s signed a new long-term contract and look forward to seeing him developing further in the future.”
