Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has admitted there will be no new arrivals at Molineux until he has sold some players.
The Midlands club have been linked with a move for St Etienne midfielder Guirane N’Daw in recent weeks, but McCarthy will have to ship out the likes of Stefan Maierhofer first.
He told the Birmingham Mail: “Somebody will have to go before I do any other business, so that will be it unless we do anything else outgoing.”
The Yorkshireman also insisted there was nothing behind the absence of striker Andy Keogh for the friendly at Walsall.
The Republic of Ireland international has been linked with a move away from Molineux this summer, but McCarthy said nothing should be read into his non-appearance.
“Andy played all the game on Saturday and didn’t train on Monday,” he continued. “He trained (Tuesday) but I just didn’t need him.”
