Championship side Doncaster have admitted making an “informal enquiry” into signing Wolves striker Andy Keogh on loan.
Rovers boss Sean O’Driscoll is interested in reuniting Keogh with record signing Billy Sharp, with the pair having previously formed a lethal partnership at Scunthorpe that garnered them national attention.
O’Driscoll told BBC Sport: “To put Andy and Billy together again is something to consider. You talk to a lot of clubs about players without making a concrete offer and we have done that with Andy Keogh.
“It will depend on what Andy’s situation is with Wolves. He knows a lot of our players and he is certainly someone who interests us.”
