Chelsea utility man Michael Mancienne has agreed to a third loan spell with Wolves.
The former England U21 player, who spent all of last season at Molineux, had been linked with both Newcastle and West Ham, but admitted the lure of working with Mick McCarthy once more was too much to pass up.
He said: “Wolves had been very good to me in the past and I’m delighted to be back. In a way it feels like I’m coming back home and I’m really looking forward to the season.
“There were other alternatives, but the gaffer here has been really good to me and had faith in me and helped me improve my game.
“That played a big part in my decision.”
