Wigan prepared to cut their losses on Jason Scotland

Football News Staff - 12 Aug 2010

Wigan have accepted a bid from Championship side Ipswich for striker Jason Scotland.

Scotland has struggled to make an impact at the DW Stadium, scoring just twice for the Latics since making the £1.5m move from Swansea last summer.

The DW Stadium outfit now appear willing to cut their losses on the 31-year-old Trinidad and Tobago forward, with Town believed to have offered £750,000 for his services.

Manager Roberto Martinez said: “There has been a bid accepted from Ipswich but another two Championship clubs have asked about Jason.

“Jason will make a decision in the next 24 hours and we will take it from there.”
