Paraguay defender Antolin Alcaraz has admitted he could turn his back on a move to Wigan this summer.
The Latics revealed prior to the World Cup that the 27-year-old had sign a pre-contract with the club.
But Antolin, whose deal with Belgian side Club Brugge has expired, has received more interest from Italy, Germany and Spain following his impressive performances in South Africa.
And he told Paraguayan radio station 780: “There is a preliminary agreement that we signed, but there is the possibility that we can realise other options.
“In fact, at this point I don’t know where I am going. Obviously, my performance at the World Cup has complicated things.
“I want to do the best for me. There have been offers made, but for now I cannot talk about them as nothing is signed yet.
“At the moment, all teams that have showed an interest have a chance of signing me.”
