Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is facing a nervous wait to learn the extent of an injury sustained by William Gallas.
Gallas picked up a hamstring injury during a training session on Tuesday, with speculation suggesting the 33-year-old Frenchman could be sidelined for up to a month.
Redknapp is now awaiting the results of a scan, and the Spurs boss admits the loss of Gallas would be a major setback for his side as they continue in the Champions League while also challenging for a place in the Premier League’s top four.
He told The Sun: “It's not good. William just pulled up and now we have to wait and see whether there's a tear.
“William's been in great form for us. If he's out for a long time it's a big blow for sure.”
If Gallas is ruled out for a month, he would miss both legs of Tottenham’s Champions League quarter-final tie, as well as Premier League games against West Ham, Wigan Athletic and Stoke City.
