Jermain Defoe wants to end his playing career with Tottenham.
The 27-year-old England forward, currently sidelined with an ankle injury, is in his second stint with Spurs following a brief spell at Portsmouth.
And Defoe has told the Daily Mirror he would happily see out his remaining days as a player at White Hart Lane.
He said: “Everything about the club tells you they are going in the right direction and I want to remain a part of that.
“From front to back we have quality players, internationals, who can make the difference at the top level.
“We also have a manager in Harry Redknapp that has shown himself to be right up there with the best in the business.
“You’d have to be crazy not to want to stay a part of that. So yes, I want to stay for the rest of my career because I believe Tottenham will go on to establish themselves in the top four under Harry.”
