Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp wants UEFA to retrospectively punish Mathieu Flamini for his horror-challenge on Vedran Corluka.
Defender Corluka had to be stretchered off following a two-footed lunge by AC Milan midfielder Flamini during Spurs’ 1-0 win at the San Siro on Tuesday night.
The former Arsenal man was only shown a yellow card for the challenge and a furious Redknapp has demanded action from UEFA, feeling Flamini should have been sent off.
Redknapp said: “The tackle from Flamini was horrendous. He was two feet off the floor. It was a leg-breaking tackle. He's done some damage to him.
“He'll probably have an X-ray (Wednesday). I don't think there's anything broken but he could have broken his leg, easily.
“I'd like them to have a look at that tackle. How he doesn't give him a red card, I don't know. That's a tackle that breaks people's legs.”
