Gareth Bale wanted by Europe's big guns, claims agent

Football News Staff - 5 Jan 2011
The elite of European football are keen to sign Tottenham star Gareth Bale, according to the player’s agent.

Bale has become one of the hottest properties in Europe this season with a string of superb performances for Spurs, including his brilliant hat-trick against Champions League holders Inter Milan.

And his representative, Peppino Tirri, claims those displays have earned the 21-year-old the interest of Inter, AC Milan, Real Madrid and Juventus.

Tirri told ilsussidiario.net: “I confirm the interest of Juventus for Bale, the Bianconeri are trying to bring him to Italy but not in January, in June.

“AC Milan and Inter Milan too have shown interest in the Welsh player, partly because he would like to play in Italy in the near future. There are high chances that it can happen.

“Also, Real Madrid are seriously trying, (manager Jose) Mourinho has his eye on him and the Spanish club would be the only one who can take Bale in January.”

However, Spurs manager Harry Redknapp has regularly insisted he has no plans to part with one of his most prized assets.
