Fast-rising star Gareth Bale insists he has no plans to leave Tottenham.

The 21-year-old full-back is in the form of his life at the moment, following up his hat-trick against Inter Milan with two-assist performance in the win over the Italian giants in the return game.

But the Welshman, signed for £5m from Southampton in 2007, is happy to remain at White Hart Lane, where he under contract until 2014.

He told BBC Sport: “Yes, as I said I want to keep playing at Tottenham and keep enjoying my football.

“I’m just enjoying playing and enjoy playing at Tottenham at the moment. We’ve got a lot to look forward to.”

And Bale, who was backup to Benoit Assou-Ekotto until this season, admits all the attention is “surreal”.

He added: “I’m not sure what all the fuss is about, it’s a bit surreal. Every football knows it comes with the game if you’re doing well. It’s kind of nice.
