Sunderland have completed the capture of defender Titus Bramble from Premier League rivals Wigan for an undisclosed fee.
Bramble has penned a three-year-deal to reunite with manager Steve Bruce, who turned around the player’s career by signing him for the Latics following a difficult spell with Newcastle.
Bruce told the Black Cats’ official website: “Titus was absolutely outstanding for me at Wigan.
“He matured into a very, very good player so there was absolutely no hesitation when the chance came to bring him to Sunderland.
“He was certainly the right player at the right price and this is a great deal for the football club.”
