Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon hopes to make his return from injury at the end of the month.
The Scotland international, 27, is yet to feature for the Black Cats this season after breaking his left arm for the second time in eight months during pre-season.
But Gordon, who admitted at the weekend he would not be rushing his rehabilitation, has set his sights on being back in the first-team reckoning later this month.
The former Hearts man told the Daily Record: “I’ve been working in the gym and I hope to have done a bit of handling by the end of the week.
“I should soon be diving and it’s a case of building it up. All being well, I’ll be ready to start playing by the end of this month.”
