Stoke manager Tony Pulis has rubbished reports he is planning a move for Tottenham striker Peter Crouch.
Crouch’s future at White Hart Lane has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks despite boss Harry Redknapp insisting the forward was not for sale.
And on Monday the Potters were the latest club to be linked with the England international, but Pulis told Sky Sports News: “We wouldn’t be able to afford Peter Crouch.”
And he also refused to confirm rumours of a bid for Cardiff frontman Jay Bothroyd.
“I think (Cardiff boss) Dave Jones would be delighted you are touting his players around,” Pulis added.
“But we will do our business the way we do our business and that is through the right channels.”
