Stoke have completed the signing of highly-rated Portsmouth midfielder Florent Cuvelier.
The Belgium youth international, 17, was reportedly a target of several clubs, including Fulham, Manchester City and Tottenham, but has agreed to sign a two-year deal at the Britannia Stadium.
Cuvelier’s advisor Alex Levak told skysports.com: “Florent is delighted to have finalised a deal with Stoke.
“He was very impressed by Stoke from the off, their professionalism and enthusiasm, and it did not take long to agree.
“Florent is now looking forward to being back with a Premier League club and pushing into the first-team squad over the next season.”
