Stoke boss Tony Pulis unhappy about Jon Walters 'goal'

Football News Staff - 22 Aug 2010

Stoke boss Tony Pulis was unhappy his side had been denied a late equaliser against Tottenham on Saturday.

The Potters thought they had snatched a 2-2 draw when Jon Walters’ header appeared to cross the line, but referee Chris Foy did not award the ‘goal’.

And Pulis told Sky Sports: “Well the referee is in the best position, I don’t know why he’s looking at the linesman who’s on the other side of the pitch to make the decision.

“If you look at the clip, Chris has actually got his head up and his whistle in his hand and he’s looking over at the other side for confirmation one way or the other. But he’s two yards away from it.

“We’re disappointed; it has not gone for us. You just hope on other days that it will go for us.”
