Stoke have received “encouraging news” about the injury sustained by striker Ricardo Fuller at the weekend.
Fuller suffered a dislocated shoulder after coming on as a substitute during the 2-1 victory at Newcastle on Sunday, and there were fears the Jamaica international had sustained a fracture as well.
But the club have confirmed on their official website that X-rays have revealed there is no fracture, which means Fuller could return make a swift return to action for the Potters.
The 30-year-old suffered the same injury two years ago and was sidelined for 10 days, and if that is the case again, Fuller will only miss Saturday’s game against Blackburn due to the international break after that fixture.
