Injured Stoke striker Mamady Sidibe could be done for season

Football News Staff - 23 Aug 2010

Stoke manager Tony Pulis fears striker Mamady Sidibe may not play again this season.

Sidibe, 30, came on with five minutes remaining of the 2-1 defeat to Tottenham at the weekend, but lasted just three minutes before being stretchered off with a suspected snapped Achilles.

And Potters boss Pulis told the club’s official website: “The medical staff have told me that it doesn’t look good for him.

“We have to wait for confirmation. If that is the damage though, he will be lucky to play again this season.”
