Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has hit out at the standard of refereeing in Serie A.
Zamparini is still raging from Cagliari’s controversial opener in his team’s 3-1 defeat last weekend, claiming the goal should have been chalked off for offside.
And the Palermo supremo did not hold back his feelings when speaking ahead of the visit of second-from-bottom Brescia on Saturday.
He said: “We are fed up with this situation. We have played three games this year and in all of them we have been punished by refereeing mistakes.
“At Bari, we had a dubious penalty called against us when we were winning and in the end we drew that game.
“Against Chievo, we were not given a clear penalty and against Cagliari, the referee made numerous calls that went against us.”
While Palermo were feeling a sense of injustice in the defeat at Cagliari last time out, visitors Brescia record a much-needed 2-0 victory at home to Parma.
