Napoli will be looking to bounce back from their recent defeat to AC Milan when they host Brescia this afternoon.
The Azzuri slumped to a 3-0 defeat at the San Siro on Monday to surrender second spot and fall nine points behind Serie A leaders Milan.
Star man Marek Hamsik admitted that his and his team-mates’ performance was not up to the standard they expect, and insists they will make amends for that at the expense of second-from-bottom Brescia.
Hamsik said: “Perhaps we were too relaxed. We didn't play well at Milan and we deserved the defeat.
“I know I can give much more just like the rest of my team-mates. We cannot be depleted just, we simply have to respond on the pitch.
“There are still many games left to play and we cannot look too far ahead.”
He added: “We just have to focus on one game at a time.
“Our aim is to beat Brescia and give our fans some satisfaction by playing good football.”
While Napoli’s three-match winning run came to an end against Milan, Brescia played out a 2-2 draw at home to Lecce.
