Lecce forward David Di Michele has set his sights on upsetting Champions League hopefuls Udinese today.
Udinese have won six of their last seven games to sit in the fourth and final Champions League qualifying berth in Serie A, while Lecce are languishing in the relegation zone, a point from safety.
However, Di Michele believes his side are capable of claiming a shock victory, and believes attack will be the best form of defence against his old side.
The 35-year-old said: “It will certainly be a difficult match against Udinese.
“We'll play against a strong team which is coming here to win in order to consolidate their fourth place in the table which will see them qualify for the Champions League next season.
“They are the surprise package in Serie A and will make life difficult for us. But nothing is impossible.
“To do well, we'll need to have something more compared to them and try to attack and take advantage of all the situations because if we only defend, we risk conceding goals.”
While Lecce head into this game on the back of a 1-0 defeat to reigning champions Inter Milan, Udinese boosted their top-four bid with a 2-0 win over Catania.
