Inter Milan coach Leonardo has received the backing of his players ahead of today’s visit of Chievo.
Inter have endured a miserable week, crashing to a 3-0 defeat in last weekend’s Milan derby before being thrashed 5-2 by FC Schalke in the Champions League in midweek.
But captain Javier Zanetti insists Leonardo, who only took charge of the club at the start of the year, has the support of his squad.
Zanetti said: “Leonardo has confidence in us just as we have confidence in him.
“This team has been winning for the past six years and two defeats do not cancel out the great work we have done.”
And team-mate Esteban Cambiasso added: “The team, the club and the fans are behind Leonardo.
“We cannot forget that we are the only Italian club that is alive in all three competitions.
“We have lost two important games but we have time to make amends.”
