Inter Milan set for Luc Castaignos bid

Football News Staff - 14 Dec 2010
Inter Milan are poised to make an offer for Feyenoord forward Luc Castaignos, according to the player’s agent.

The 18-year-old has emerged as one of Dutch football’s brightest prospects and is being linked with string of clubs throughout Europe, including Inter, Tottenham and Arsenal.

And Castaignos’ representative, Arie Treffers, has confirmed that preliminary meetings have been held between Inter Milan director Marco Branca and counterpart Leo Beenhakker.

Treffers told calciomercatoweb.it: “The two technical directors of the club, Branca and Beenhakker, have already met.

“But for now the Nerazzurri manager (Rafael Benitez) is in Abu Dhabi. He should return next week and make a proposal to Feyenoord. At the time there was only some conversation between the two.

“As for us, Luc would not mind staying at Feyenoord to continue to grow, but if the two clubs would reach an agreement, we would of course be ready to take a further step in his career.

“Arsenal and Tottenham's interest? Around him there are many clubs interested, but Inter is the only one that has actually moved concretely. We've decided to wait on the evolving of talks between Inter and the Netherlands.”
