Palermo forward Fabrizio Miccoli insists it is too early to be discussing the team’s chances of qualifying for the Champions League.
The Rosanero, who travel to Cagliari on Sunday, are enjoying a four-match unbeaten run that has helped put them fifth in the Serie A standings.
And with a win at Stadio Sant’Elia, coupled with a defeat for Roma at Cesena, Palermo could end the weekend in the final Champions League spot.
But when quizzed about the possibility of a top-four finish this season, Miccoli said: “Where can Palermo finish this season? It's too early to say.
“Perhaps in March or April we will have a better idea. Our focus right now is on beating Cagliari.”
Palermo had to settle for a goalless draw at Chievo Verona in their last league outing while Cagliari saw off Parma 2-1.
