Lazio defender Guglielmo Stendardo claims the Biancoceleste will not qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Lazio are currently fourth in the table, the final place for a spot in Europe’s premier club competition, but a recent dip in form has allowed Palermo and Udinese to gain ground, with both sides now just two points behind.
And Stendardo insists the Biancoceleste target for the rest of the season is to ensure they are playing in the Europa League next season.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s trip to Brescia, he said: “I honestly believe that the Champions League is out of our reach.
“There are other teams that are more equipped than we are to finish in the top four.
“For us to end the season in the top six positions would already be an important result.”
Lazio enter this game on the back of successive draws, the most recent a 1-1 result at home to Chievo, while Brescia ran out 2-0 winners at Bari last time out.
