AC Milan v Sampdoria live preview

Football News Staff - 16 Apr 2011
AC Milan forward Alexandre Pato has rallied the Rossoneri supporters ahead of tonight’s visit of Sampdoria to the San Siro.

Milan hold a three-point lead over Napoli with just six games remaining in the 2010/11 Serie A campaign, and Brazilian ace Pato has called on the club’s fans to help push them over the finishing line in the coming weeks.

He said: “It's a difficult game and I would like to see a similar atmosphere that we had at the derby.

“I want 80,000 fans supporting us. For us it's important to feel the warmth of our fans. We need their help, they are our 12th man.

“I am convinced that with their support, we will win the league title.”

While AC Milan head into this game on the back of a 2-1 victory at Fiorentina, relegation-threatened Sampdoria will looking for an upset victory that would end an eight-match winless run that goes back to February.
