AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri insists he will field a full-strength squad for tonight’s Coppa Italia semi-final tie with Palermo.
Milan currently hold a six-point advantage at the top of Serie A and many believed the cup would be sacrificed in the Rossoneri’s pursuit of the treble.
But Allegri is determined to lead Milan to glory in this competition for the first time since 2003, and he will not be leaving out his stars for tonight’s first leg at the San Siro.
He said: “We want to win this trophy. My players are very motivated because they have not won it for a long time.
“We have the duty to try to reach the final of the Coppa Italia and win the Scudetto.
“I will field the best team possible. We will not rest our important players. (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic will play with (Antonio Cassano) and Andrea Pirlo from the start.”
He added: “Palermo have great individual quality. They proved that last weekend when they won at Roma.
“They will also be looking to reach the final and we will try to stop them.”
