AC Milan will not sell veteran midfielder Gennaro Gattuso in the summer, vice-president Adriano Galliani has insisted.
Ambitious Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala are keen to sign the 33-year-old former Italy international at the end of the current season, and reports in Italy have suggested Milan are interested in striking a deal.
But Galliani claims that is not the case and his adamant that Gattuso will, at least, serve the final 12 months of his contract at the San Siro.
Galliani told the Rossoneri’s official website: “Rino Gattuso has a contract with Milan until June 30, 2012 and neither the club nor the player is considering not respecting this agreement.
“We'll continue together next season as well, we with Gattuso and Gattuso with us. I wanted to make this clear once again to all, especially to our fans.”
