Wigan Athletic v Aston Villa preview

Football News Staff - 18 Dec 2010
Wigan manager Roberto Martinez will be forced to make changes to his side for the visit of Aston Villa on Saturday. (kick-off 15.00 GMT)

Hendry Thomas is serving a one match ban, as is Maynor Figueroa, and they join Franco Di Santo (ankle) on the sidelines.

There is some good news for Martinez who looks set to have Tom Cleverley available after learning the midfielder had not suffered a cracked rib last weekend.

Aston Villa boss Gerard Houllier has received a major boost with the news forward Gabriel Agbonlahor has recovered from a chest infection.

However, injury-plagued Villa do travel to the DW Stadium without Ashley Young who has been sidelined with knee injury.
