West Ham could be without star man Scott Parker for Saturday’s showdown with fellow strugglers Aston Villa. (kick-off 15.00 BST).
Parker has been troubled by an Achilles injury that forced him off during last week’s loss at Bolton Wanderers, and the England man is a major doubt for this one.
This could lead to an immediate recall for Kieron Dyer following his return from a loan spell with former club Ipswich Town.
The game comes too soon for Jack Collison following a knee problem, meaning he sits this game out along with Junior Stanislas (hernia), and manager Avram Grant is banned from the dugout for the final time.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa boss Gerard Houllier has the good fortune of having a full squad to choose from.
Ashley Young is expected to make his 250th career appearance in the Football League, while Gabriel Agbonlahor is likely to make his 200th start for Villa.
