Tottenham v Wolves preview

Tottenham winger Rafael van der Vaart could miss Saturday’s visit of Wolves to White Hart Lane. (kick-off 15.00 BST)

The Holland international is struggling with a calf injury sustained in midweek and if he fails to make it, Luka Modric could be recalled to Spurs’ starting XI.

Carlo Cudicini is expected to start in goal in the absence of regular number one Heurelho Gomes (groin), while Michael Dawson (knee and ankle) and Jermain Defoe (ankle) are long-term casualties.

Richard Stearman is set to start in the heart of Wolves’ defence as Christophe Berra begins his suspension.

And the Midlands club are boosted by the return to fitness of both Steven Mouyokolo (ankle and thigh) and Ronald Zubar (hamstring).
