On-loan Pennant has been struggling with hamstring injury but is likely to be part of Potters boss Tony Pulis’ squad.
Andy Wilkinson is also set to feature following his recent knee problem, while Marc Wilson returns from a suspension.
Blackpool midfielder Ludovic Sylvestre is expected to return from a hamstring problem, but manager Ian Holloway remains without several first-team players.
Summer signing Malaury Martin is back in training following his knee injury, but the Frenchman is unlikely to feature for the Seasiders until next month.
