Everton v Blackburn Rovers preview

Football News Staff - 15 Apr 2011
Everton are again without Mikel Arteta as Blackburn Rovers visit Goodison Park on Saturday. (kick-off 15.00 BST)

Arteta has been sidelined in recent weeks by hamstring injury as manager David Moyes has been hit with a midfield injury crisis that also left him without Marouane Fellaini and Tim Cahill.

And while Fellaini remains on the sidelines with an ankle injury this weekend, Moyes will be hoping Cahill will return from a foot injury to give his side a major lift.

The Toffees boss is also waiting on the fitness of Seamus Coleman and Jack Rodwell (both ankle), but definitely missing for the hosts is forward Louis Saha (ankle).

Blackburn Rovers, meanwhile, are reeling from the news Ryan Nelsen will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.

Nelsen joins Keith Andrews (groin) and Vince Grella (Achilles) on the sidelines, while Rovers boss Steve Kean is also without midfielder Steven Nzonzi through suspension.

However they do welcome back Gael Givet from suspension and Roque Santa Cruz has recovered from a hamstring injury, while David Hoilett may overcome a similar problem in time to feature for Blackburn.
