Arsenal v Sunderland preview

Football News Staff - 5 Mar 2011
Aaron Ramsey could make his Arsenal return in Saturday’s game against Sunderland. (kick-off 15.00 GMT)

Fit-again Ramsey suffered a broken leg a year ago but, following a loan spell with Championship side Nottingham Forest, he could feature in the Gunners’ squad this weekend.

Arsenal are without several first-team regulars for the visit of the Black Cats, with Lukasz Fabianski (shoulder), Alex Song, Robin van Persie (both knee), Thomas Vermaelen (Achilles), Theo Walcott (ankle) and captain Cesc Fabregas (hamstring) all ruled out.

Nedum Onouha (calf) is doubtful for Sunderland, and Bolo Zenden (calf) is definitely absent as manager Steve Bruce continues to deal with a long list of casualties.

Bruce is again without the services of Craig Gordon, Michael Turner, David Meyler (all knee), Lee Cattermole (back), Danny Welbeck (hamstring) and Fraizer Campbell (knee).
