Wayne Rooney believes a fear factor is the reason for Manchester United’s stunning home form this season.
The Red Devils have taken 43 of 45 points possible on their home turf this season as they sit top of the Premier League with a five point advantage over Arsenal, who do have a game-in-hand.
And Rooney believes his team always have a psychological advantage, claiming he has experienced it from the other side during his time with Everton.
The England international told Inside United: “We are always expected to win at home but we always believe we can win, no matter who we play.
“I have been a player in the away dressing room and I know the fear you feel before the game and you are not expected to get anything out of it.
“So we have that psychological advantage even before the game starts but we know we are good enough to beat anyone here.”
