Piotr Trochowski’s agent has refused to discuss reports suggesting he could join Manchester United.

The Germany international midfielder has fallen down the pecking order at Hamburg in recent months and only has one year remaining on his contract.

There has been speculation that United could land the player for a knockdown price, but Trochowski’s agent refused to confirm the story.

He told Morgenpost: “Trochowski is a Hamburg player. He has a contract with the club. I do not intend to make any statement.”
