The Glazer family have rubbished speculation they are planning to sell Manchester United.
The ownership of the Old Trafford giants has been the source of much speculation in recent days, with reports suggesting the Qatar Royal Family had made an offer to take over the club.
But the Glazers, who continue to face criticism from supporters over their running of the club, insist they are not planning to sell United, who are currently one point clear at the top of the Premier League.
A statement read: “The board notes recent press speculation regarding a possible bid for Manchester United.
“The owners remain fully committed to their long-term ownership of the club.
“No discussions have taken place, Manchester United is not for sale and the owners will not entertain any offers.”
Supporters continue to protest against the Americans, with thousands now wearing green and gold scarves, the colours of the club’s predecessors Newton Heath, instead of the traditional red on matchdays.
