Danny Welbeck to consider Manchester United future

Football News Staff - 26 Mar 2011

Danny Welbeck will consider his future when he returns to Manchester United this summer.

England U21 forward Welbeck is currently on loan with Sunderland and has been a big hit with the Stadium of Light faithful, with boss Steve Bruce making no secret of his interest in keeping the 20-year-old in the North East.

And Welbeck has hinted he may not be happy playing a bit-part role when he heads back to United.

He said: “I've not really thought too much about what I'm going to do, but I've really enjoyed my time at Sunderland.

“It has benefited me massively, just to be around with the big boys week in, week out. I'm delighted with that, but the end of the season will be the time to sit down and think about the future.

“I'm like anyone else, I want to play every week. Football is my job. I like training hard and then playing in games, but we will just see what happens in the summer.”
