Manchester City forward Mario Balotelli wants to join AC Milan in the next two years.
Balotelli only joined City in a reported £24m deal from Inter Milan in the summer, but speculation has been rampant in recent months that the 20-year-old Italian is keen on a move to Milan after he was spotted with club vice-president Adriano Galliani during a visit home.
There had been suggestions that the Serie A leaders could make a bid for Balotelli during the January transfer window, but that is unlikely after they snapped up Sampdoria outcast Antonio Cassano.
However, Balotelli has admitted he still dreams of wearing the trademark red and black of the Rossoneri, and he hopes to be back in Italy at the end of next season.
The City forward, currently sidelined by a knee injury, told Extra Time newspaper: “Do I envy Cassano for going to AC Milan? A little.
“(Milan owner) Silvio Berlusconi said that Cassano is the best Italian talent - he's wrong or doesn't know Balotelli.
“Me with Ibra (Zlatan Ibrahimovic) and Cassano at Milan? It'll happen soon. For this year, and another, I will stay at City where I'm fine.”
