Manchester City skipper Carlos Tevez is expected to face Dynamo Kiev in tonight’s second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie.
Manager Roberto Mancini has revealed Tevez is in need of a rest following his recent dip in form, but the Argentinian may have to wait for the international break with City needing to overturn a two-goal deficit this evening.
Mancini said: “Carlos needs to work in the next week. In the last 45 days, it's been impossible.
“If we have 20 or 23 players when we play four or five games in two weeks, we would be able to change six players every game.
“We don't have that option and when you can't train it's difficult to keep the same level for one month or 45 days. That's the same for all the players.”
James Milner looks to have recovered from a hamstring injury in time to feature among the substitutes, while Nigel de Jong is to undergo a fitness test.
Adam Johnson is back in training following an ankle problem, but this game comes too soon for the England winger.
