Los Angeles Galaxy v Philadelphia Union live preview

Los Angeles Galaxy will hope to bounce back from last week’s embarrassment when they host Philadelphia Union tonight.

The Galaxy were thumped 4-1 by Real Salt Lake in the second outing of the 2011 Major League Soccer season, and it will be a tough task for them to bounce back against an unbeaten Union side that is yet to concede during the current campaign.

LA midfielder Chris Birchall said: “We’ve just got to go out and try and get good tactics and try and attack them at home and try and put them on the defensive foot, so they can’t really hurt us.

“We’ll go out and try and keep it tight the first 15 minutes and then we know if we get through that we’ll probably go on and win the game.”

While Los Angeles have taken three points from two games, beating Seattle Sounders in their season opener, Philadelphia have racked up back-to-back 1-0 wins over Houston Dynamo and Vancouver Whitecaps.
