Chivas USA coach Robin Fraser has faith his weakened team can get a result tonight against Colorado Rapids.
Chivas have lost key players to injury and international call-ups this weekend, and Fraser will have to call upon youngsters like Seth Owusu, Tristan Bowen and Victor Estupinan.
But the 44-year-old is confident about his team’s chances against the reigning MLS Cup holders.
Fraser told MLSsoccer.com: “It is what it is, doesn't make sense crying woe is me over it because these guys have opportunities to represent their country, and that's a great honour.
“We have to make do with what we got and that's why we don't have 14 guys on the team, we have 26.
“Everyone needs to understand everyone's roles and that's part of having a system. You can take guys out and plug guys in.”
While Chivas opened their campaign with a 3-2 defeat to Sporting Kansas City, Colorado began their title defence with a 3-1 victory over Portland Timbers.
