Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson is expecting a difficult game tonight against fellow promotion hopefuls Bournemouth.

Posh can move within a point of the automatic promotion places if they seal a victory over the Cherries at London Road, but the visitors have their own promotion bid to boost and they would close the gap between themselves and their third-placed hosts to one point if they take three points this evening.

And Peterborough boss Ferguson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: “I'm not surprised by how Bournemouth have performed this season and we've show how it's possible to move on up through the leagues.

“They play in much the same way as when Eddie Howe was in charge and they have a good mix of youth and experience.

“They're a decent team and this will be another difficult game, but we need to get back on a winning run.”
