Lyon head to Nice today, knowing that a victory would move them into Ligue 1’s top four.
Lyon currently occupy fourth spot in the top tier of French football, but they are just two points behind second-placed Marseille and third-placed Stade Rennais so a victory in this one could see them move as high as second and, more importantly, into the Champions League qualifying places.
Nice, meanwhile, are struggling at the wrong end of the table and are just two points ahead of the relegation zone heading into their 29th game of a 38-game season.
While Lyon head into this game on the back of a 1-1 draw with Stade Rennai, Nice drew 1-1 with Toulouse last time out.
