Sporting Braga can confirm their place in the qualifying rounds for next season’s Europa League with a victory at Nacional Madeira tonight.

Third-placed Braga hold an eight-point lead over Nacional, who lead the pack chasing a place in Europe, and if Domingo Paciencia’s side can claim the three points in this one they would open up an unassailable lead over their hosts with three games to go.

A defeat would not be the end of the world for Nacional however, because they trail Victoria Guimaraes in the final qualifying spot by just two points.

While Sporting Braga head into this game on the back of a five-match winning run in the league, having beaten Vitoria Guimaraes 3-1 last time out, Nacional Medeira will be in desperate need of a victory following a 1-1 draw with Maritimo Funchal.
