Ajax visit NEC today as they continue their pursuit of the top two teams in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Ajax currently occupy third place in the table, which would earn them a place in the Europa League next season, but they are a solitary point behind second-placed PSV Eindhoven, in the final Champions League qualifying berth, and three points behind league leaders FC Twente.
Therefore they know a victory against NEC would at least keep the pressure on the top two, and it could see them improve their position if either PSV or Twente slip up on their travels this afternoon.
While Ajax will be looking to record their third successive victory in the league, having beaten FC Groningen 2-0 last time out, NEC will be aiming to build on a 4-1 win at VVV-Venlo.
