Goalkeeper Morgan De Sanctis is confident Napoli can see off Genoa on Saturday despite the absence of star man Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Lavezzi misses the trip to Stadio Luigi Ferraris with an ankle injury, but De Sanctis believes the forward line of Marek Hamsik, Edinson Cavani and Jose Sosa will get the job done.
He said: “We respect everyone but we believe in our strength. We are third in the standings and we want to consolidate this position in the table.
“We will be without Lavezzi, who is a very important player for us but I’m sure whoever replaces him will do well.”
Partenopei head into the game on the back of a 1-0 victory over Palermo earlier this week but they have struggled on their travels recently with two successive defeats.
Hosts Genoa, who beat Lecce 2-1 in their last Serie A outing, are only six points behind Napoli on 27 points.
