Augsburg will go top of 2. Bundelsiga if they record a victory over fellow promotion hopefuls Greuther Furth.
Augsburg are second in the standings after 28 games, two points behind current table-toppers Hertha BSC, but they can hit the summit once more by gathering three points.
Greuther Furth, meanwhile, are in fourth place with six games to go, five points behind VFL Bochum in the promotion play-off place and seven points behind their hosts, who occupy the final automatic promotion spot.
Therefore a win would be a huge boost in their bid to reach the top tier of German football.
