Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has once again claimed Barcelona are favoured when the fixture schedule is decided.
Madrid entertain Hercules today, knowing that they cannot drop points if they are to keep their title dream alive, with leaders Barca currently seven points ahead.
And Mourinho said: “We are in a situation where as soon as we drop a point we lose the championship, although not mathematically so.
“I am not stupid and I know this.”
“There is a team that played in the Champions League on Tuesday and have no game in the league until the following Sunday (Barcelona this week), while another one is forced to play in Europe on Wednesday and then Saturday in the league (Madrid next week).
“Not everyone has the same chance to compete. Not everyone plays under the same rules.
“The competition is not open. I will not comment further.”
While Real Madrid head into this game on the back of a 3-1 victory at Racing Santander, Hercules were beaten by Almeria, 2-1, last time out.
