Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has rubbished speculation linking him with a move to Manchester City this summer.
The Portuguese has often spoken of his desire to return to England in the future, and City emerged as a possible suitor with pressure mounting on current manager Roberto Mancini.
But the former Chelsea and Inter Milan boss, who is the favourite to replace Sir Alex Ferguson when he finally steps down at Manchester United, insists there is no chance of him becoming boss of the Eastlands club in the future.
Mourinho told Sky Italia: “Me to Manchester City? That’s impossible.”
And the 48-year-old has reaffirmed his commitment to current employers Real Madrid despite rumours he could be heading for the Bernabeu exit door at the end of the season.
Mourinho said: “My future is Real Madrid because I have a contract and it looks like the club is happy with my work.
“My future will be England, for sure, but that future is after Real Madrid.
“At the moment I have a contract for three more seasons and I hope I do well enough to deserve to continue here.”
